13 Hrs

Film 12 (Saturday)

Things improved a little with the next film. Another Brit horror film, with some younger talent in it.

A creature feature of sorts, as Sarah returns to her troubled home in the countryside, they become trapped in the house as something hunts them.

Cast: Gemma Atkinson - Emily, Joshua Bowman - Doug Walker, Isabella Calthorpe - Sarah Tyler, Tom Felton - Gary

Written by Adam Phillips

Soundtrack by Edward Bradshaw

Directed by Jonathan Glendening

What I liked? The kills, the monster was a little different, a play on a werewolf, but more in line with the monster from Creep. The cast for the most part. The script.

What I didn't like? Peter Gadiot (I think) well the half brother to Sarah, he was pretty terrible. Not enough of the monster.

Summary: This wasn't that bad in the end, the biggest curse on this was the budget, it needed a little bit more on the effects. And the reason they didn't get to show off the monster was they ran out of time, only having the monster costume for the last day of the shoot.

The cast was ok, Atkinson, Calthorpe did the best, but they did have a lot of the script. The action was pretty good, the tension ok, the ending felt a like they had run out of ideas, or maybe they just wanted to keep the film alive for a sequel.

I liked this for the most part, just a shame about the budget. A lot of the ideas were good and executed very well.

Overall a decent attempt for Brit creature feature, need the reveal like Creep had! (6/10)
